How A Teen Job Turns Into Bend’s Landscape Leader

Bend Landscape is family-owned by Josh and Erin Brown.


Josh started landscaping for a friend as a summer job at 14. His high level of service showed through on his first lawn that took him hours to finish, repeating the lines over and over again until perfect. Afterward he was treated to an A's Burger + afternoon surf session. 


That “work hard, play hard” lifestyle stuck with him ever since! 
 
Moving here in 1992, Josh learned to navigate the backcountry and find the one decent burrito around. He did landscape construction with various contractors to get started.


FUN is snowboarding, backpacking, and traveling with Erin. 


Burrito options got better, but Josh’s work hard/play hard perfectionist philosophy remained. This led him to a landscape contractors license in 2001 so he could set the tone for the most incredibly creative projects his clients could ever imagine! 


Two energetic teenagers keep the Browns young, joyful, and motivated. Bend Landscape LLC has the next generation covered.

    Where to begin? Most of us wear many hats which keeps the job interesting. Early to rise, the first stop is usually our shop to get directions for the day as well as the necessary tools and equipment.
